The 2nd Annual Oklahoma Bioethics Conference

The 2nd Annual Oklahoma Bioethics Conference presented November 7, 2008 included seven presentations by attorneys, physicians and social workers. Sponsors of this conference included the OU College of Nursing, the Oklahoma Palliative Care Resource Center and the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Task Force to Improve Health Care. These presentations are now offered to healthcare facilities at no charge to use for staff training. Any health facility or consumer of health care may view the videos online. Those who would like to receive a certificate of completion or for questions regarding utilization of these videos may contact Sandra McConnell at Sandra-mcconnell@ouhsc.edu for more information.

The Oklahoma Palliative Care Resource Center is a resource for health care professionals. The "ethics" page will host questions, commentary, and discussion of issues raised by physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains and other professionals involved in complex decision-making with patients or clients.
